Historical Legacy

The Birthplace of Bioprogressive Philosophy

In 1950, Dr. Robert Ricketts began his postgraduate orthodontic course at UIC under influential leaders Allan Brodie and William Downs. This landmark collaboration laid the foundation for what would become the Bioprogressive philosophy, transforming orthodontic treatment through evidence-based diagnostics and comprehensive patient care.

The program has been shaped by contributions from renowned orthodontists including:
